eLCOS panels are designed with additional columns and rows to permit electronic convergence and image shift of the individual color channels. A high speed digital interface guarantees the highest possible level of image quality – no flicker, crosstalk, or visual artifacts. With a natural, well-balanced, elegant image and perfect color management, the resulting picture is clear and film-like, and viewers are treated to digital cinema, right in their own living room.

TPM Controller

Each eLCOS imager is driven by a companion TPM controller chip powered by its patented digital imaging technology to ensure an accurately reproduced image. Through advanced modulation scheme, advanced cinema-like images are achieved without Liquid Crystal related artifacts, such as ghosting, reverse twist effects, flicker, or DC offset.

The TPM all-digital modulator is designed such that only the necessary rows need to be driven, thus reducing system bandwidth requirements when resolutions less than the full panel resolution are required.

When the TPM is used with eLCOS’ proprietary color management tool, the user is able to achieve precise color matching – perfect flesh tones and vibrant colors, for the purest, truest picture achievable. This powerful tool offers the capability for quick and precise color temperature and image calibration, as well as instant color tuning and color balance of the system.
